SUMMARY:Municipalism in Spain - Presentation of Results
DESCRIPTION:The researchers Juan Mérida and Ramón Feenstra\, members of the project and affiliated with the Jaume I University of Castelló\, will be presenting the results of the subproject “The Contemporary Municipalism” during the second week of March in the cities where the study was conducted: Zaragoza\, Valladolid\, A Coruña\, and Castellón. \nIn all these cities\, between 2015 and 2023\, municipalism played a crucial role in government and institutions. Therefore\, they ask: What advances did this political cycle achieve? What were its limitations? What factors should be considered if a new opportunity arises to build a municipalist project aimed at transforming and democratizing institutions? \nThe presentations seek to create a space for dialogue among activists who were part of these movements\, as well as an opportunity to collectively reflect on new hypotheses for transformation from the perspective of radical municipalism.
